ROME, Ga. -- The Covenant women's tennis team dell on the road at Berry, 9-0, on Tuesday at the Rome Tennis Center.
The loss was the second straight for Covenant (3-2), while it was the season-opener for Berry (1-0).
Berry swept through doubles play, though Madelyn Savage and Gillian Bosko persevered in an 8-3 loss at the No. 1 spot to Juliana Mascagni and Allison Ivey.
In singles play, Savage took the first set over Adelle Yanez at the No. 2 flight before falling 2-6, 6-1, 6-2. Bosko also played tight with Mascagni at the top flight but fell 7-5, 6-2, while Nicole Restrepo had a similar result at No. 3 with a 7-5, 6-1 loss to Ivey.
