CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. -- The Covenant women's tennis team fell to Centre on Friday evening, 9-0, inside the Strang-Voges Tennis Center at the McCallie School.
Esther Eddy and Margo Koby were the only Scots able to take a game off Centre (1-2) in doubles action. Eddy and Koby fell to Neha Rao and Hannah Doherty 8-1 while the Colonels took two and three doubles 8-0.
Covenant (0-4) was only able to take three games in the singles portion of the match. Eddy took a game in set one against Katharine Sherman at number one before falling 6-1, 6-0. At three singles Masha Lanska fell 6-1, 6-0 to Abigail Kent. Sara Blauw was the final Scot to take a game falling 6-0, 6-1 to Doherty at the five spot.
The Scots were scheduled to take on LaGrange in a nonconference contest but the match was postponed due to inclement weather. A makeup date has yet to be announced

Covenant will take on Piedmont in a nonconference match on top of Lookout Mountain on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
