FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -- The Covenant women's tennis team fell to Methodist 7-2 in USA South action on Saturday afternoon in Fayetteville.
The loss drops the Lady Scots to 2-2 overall and 1-1 in conference play. Methodist improves to 2-2 on the year and 1-0 in league play.
Aly Hall and Annie DeLuca took both of Covenant's points at the top two spots in singles play. Hall bested Methodist's Isabella Graf 6-0, 6-2 at the top spot, while DeLuca was a 6-4, 2-6, 7-6 winner at No. 2 over Sam Munze.
Claire Luger dropped a tough three-set match at the third spot as Jenna Landis took the win 6-2, 6-7, 6-3.
