MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- The Covenant men's tennis team suffered a road loss at Huntingdon 8-1 on Friday afternoon in USA South action.
The loss drops the Scots back to. 500 on the year at 7-7 overall and 4-3 in conference play. Huntingdon remains perfect at 5-0 inside the USA South and 8-3 overall.
Covenant's lone win came from Michael O'Brien at No. 3 singles as he knocked off Meyer Schwartzberg 7-6, 7-5. The victory was O'Brien's seventh of the year in singles play.
Matthew Harvie fell in three sets at the No. 1 spot 7-5, 1-6, 7-5 to Bobby Foroughian. Chris Cox also played well but fell 6-4, 6-4 to Sebastian Florez at the No. 2 position.
Covenant will be back on the courts on Tuesday in the final home match of the year. The Scots host Piedmont starting at 3:30 p.m.
