MARYVILLE, Tenn. -- South Division leading Maryville used a strong effort in both halves on Wednesday night to defeat the Covenant women's basketball team 99-47 in Boydson Baird Gymnasium.
Covenant drops to 5-15 overall and 2-10 inside the USA South. Maryville collects its ninth straight victory to move to 17-3 on the season and 10-1 in league play.
Alex Quimby scored a career-high nine points to lead the Scots. Jessie Blankenship led with six rebounds, while Haley Soles, Morgan Woodward and Kiersten Nielsen had two assists each.
Maryville was led by Lauren Trent's 21 points off the bench. Mackenzie Puckett tallied 19 points and Danielle Newton and Kelsey Brown had 11 and 10, respectively.
Covenant will return to the hardwood on Monday, Feb. 10 when they host Piedmont inside Barnes Physical Education Center. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m.
