TOCCOA FALLS, Ga. -- Jessica Chittenden scored 15 points, including a perfect 11-of-11 from the free-throw line, to lead the Covenant women's basketball team to a 79-65 victory over Toccoa Falls on Saturday afternoon.
Covenant moves to 12-10 with the victory.
Chittenden's 15 points set a new career-high, an achievemnt she set just one week ago. The senior also added seven rebounds and two assists.
Haley Soles and Liz Dougherty each had 12 points. Soles drained four 3-pointers and had three assists, while Dougherty added four steals. Jess Fikkert had 10 points in 11 minutes of action off the bench.
As a team, Covenant shot 41.9 percent (26-62) from the floor and committed just 11 turnovers. The Lady Scots also made 20-of-24 free-throws and outrebounded the Lady Eagles 32-28.
Toccoa Falls was led by Kim Crapse's 14 points. Maddy Moody added 12 points, while Angela Little chipped in 11.
Covenant will be off from competition for a week. The Lady Scots play at Warren Wilson on Saturday, Feb. 23 at 1 p.m.
