MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- The Covenant men's soccer team saw its two-game win streak come to an end on Wednesday afternoon in Montgomery, Ala., as the Scots dropped a 1-0 decision to USA South foe Huntingdon.
Covenant falls to 8-5-3 overall and 3-3-1 in conference play. Huntingdon earns its first USA South win of the season to move to 3-8-2 overall and 1-4 in conference action.
Huntingdon scored the lone goal of the match in the first half as Nick Stinson found the back of the net off an assist from Jake Morgan in the 41st minute of play.
Covenant outshot the host Hawks 23-9 and 11-2 in shots on goal, but Huntingdon keeper Sebastian Garcia made saves on all 11 shots. Shuler Polk made one save.
Hudson Brock took six shots to lead the Scots.
Covenant will return to Scotland Yard on Wednesday, Oct. 23 with a non-conference match against Emory. Start time is set for 7 p.m.
