CHATTANOOGA -- The 2011-12 basketball season came to an end for the Covenant Lady Scots on Thursday night with a 70-55 loss to Tenneessee Temple in the quarterfinal round of the NCCAA Mid-East Regional Tournament.

Tennessee Temple advances to the semifinal round where they will take on top-seeded Bluefield College. The Lady Scots end the season with an overall record of 6-20.

Jessie Blankenship posted her seventh double-double of the season with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Margaret Cross added a personal season-high of 23 points on 9-of-10 shooting, including a perfect 5-of-5 from 3-point territory. Morgan Woodward dished out a team-high six assists to go along with five points and five rebounds.

Tennessee Temple placed four players in double figures led by Samatha Robinson and Jessica Salera who each scored 17 points. LaQuinta Gallishaw and Shayla Wilson scored 11 and 10 points, respectively.
