ATLANTA -- The Covenant women's volleyball team played their second game of the season on the road against Oglethorpe University on Saturday night.  The Lady Scots arrived ready to compete, winning overall 3-1 (25-14, 20-25, 25-20, 25-23), bringing their season record to 2-0.  The individual games were fairly close, but the Ladies fantastic teamwork led to another win.

In the first game, Oglethorpe seemed caught off guard by Covenant's intensity.  The first was quickly settled 25 to 14.  Oglethorpe did recover, winning the second game 25 to 20.  The ladies worked hard after that to earn the third game by a score of 25-20.  The night was fairly close, but due to another big night from Erica Adams (17 kills) and Jessie Jakes (10 kills), the final game was close but not out of reach. The Lady Scots won with a nail biting score of 25-23.

Senior setter Kristin Dahlstrand backed the majority of the Lady Scots attack, racking up 36 assists on the night.

Covenant has played their first two games on the road and will return home for a match against the University of the Cumberlands on Monday night.  The Lady Scots have had a great start to the season. With the support of the home crowd at the next game, they will come ready to dominate on the volleyball court.
