LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN -- Covenant College took a tough loss at Oglethorpe Wednesday, losing 11-6. The Scots, who entered the game with the 5th best record in the NCCAA at 17-8, are 7-3 in their last 10 games. The Scots led 4-3 going into the bottom of the fifth, but costly errors led to crooked numbers as Oglethorpe scored 6 runs in that frame.

Oglethorpe mixed and matched on pitching all night, using 6 different pitchers. Neal Amos got the win, pitching 2 scoreless innings and improving to 1-3.
The Scots used Shane Ludwick, Eddy Jamerson, and David Lockwood in relief of Witt. Each pitched an inning.
Offensively, Jonathan Carter was 3-for-4 with a walk. Caleb Abney was 2-for-3 with a walk. James Rollins' only hit was a home-run in the ninth inning. And Luke Furuto reached base 3 times, going 1-for-2 with 2 walks.
