LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN -- While Covenant's golf and cross country programs have concluded their fall seasons, the Scots volleyball and men's and women's soccer teams have been gearing up for the 2011 postseason.  Action will commence Thursday, Nov. 17 as the Lady Scots volleyball team will begin pool play at Oakland City University.  Friday will feature more from the volleyball team along with semifinal matchups for each of Covenant's soccer teams.  Results will be posted on Covenant's schedule pages as well as the athletic website of the host institution.  Additional information can be found here:

COVENANT GAMES:

Thursday, 1 p.m. vs Asbury (Asbury 3, Covenant 0: 25-14, 25-12, 25-10)
Thursday, 3 p.m. vs Trevecca Nazarene (Trevecca Nazarene 3, Covenant 0: 22-25, 19-25, 17-25)

The Lady Scots enter the six-team tournament as the number five seed.  Thursday's pool play alignment has pitted them in Pool A with #1 Asbury University  and #4 Trevecca Nazarene University.  Covenant will face Asbury (38-7) on Thursday at 1 p.m. then Trevecca (18-13) immediately after in the 3 p.m. time slot.  Pool B includes #2 Campbellsville University, #3 Oakland City University, and #6 Tennessee Temple University.  The top two teams from the two pools will advance to a semifinal round on Friday, with both matches to be played at 12 p.m.  The Mid-East Region Championship will then conclude at 2:30 p.m. with the winner receiving an automatic trip to the NCCAA national tournament two weeks later.
