BRISTOL, Tenn. -- The Covenant Lady Scots volleyball team saw their season come to an end in the NCCAA Mid-East region tournament Friday afternoon in Bristol, Tennessee.  The Lady Scots lost in straight sets to Campbellsville University 3-0 (25-12, 25-14, 25-14).  Erica Adams led the team in kills with 7 while Jessie Jakes chipped in with 4 of her own.  Kristin Dahlstrand had 14 assists, and Paige Cheney ended her year with 11 digs.

Covenant finishes the season with a solid record of 19-15, and the Lady Scots look to return every key performer next year, with the exception of senior Emily Dupree, who will graduate next May.  Among their other key performers were juniors Kristin Dahlstrand and Erica Adams.  The two were the team leaders in assists and kills, and with those numbers, earned a spot on the NCCAA Mid-East region second team.  In fact, both Lady Scots are already looking good for the Great South as they each would have led the conference in those categories.

Dahlstrand ended the season with 983 assists, more than 100 ahead of anyone else in the Great South.  She averaged 7.93 assists per set which was also the best in the conference.  Adams' hit percentage on the year (.312) was slightly better than Heather Stafford of Piedmont College (.302) and far and above the rest of the field of players.

With both girls set to return hungry for a solid senior season, the Lady Scots will certainly look forward to another great year.
