Lookout Mountain, GA- After enduring a past couple of weeks in which the only thing that seemed to be falling the Lady Scot's way came in the form of unrelenting rain, the Covenant College women's soccer team found some much needed relief in its 4-0 demolition of Georgetown College on Saturday. Playing their first official home game of the season, albeit on a drenched Scotland Yard, the ladies managed to rack up 13 shots against their visiting opposition, all while allowing only 2 shots themselves. Junior Kasey Craft got the scoring underway as she put a well-placed ball beyond the reach of Georgetown goalkeeper Brooke Terrell in the 30th minute. Her compatriot, Aubrey Brown, would follow suit in the second half with a goal of her own. Freshman Lauren Probst was credited with the assist, and a few minutes afterwards found herself on the scoring side of things when a nice pass from senior Jenny Carter set her up to give the Scots the 3-0 lead. Four minutes later, Leigh Graham would end a miserable afternoon for the visitors with a nice goal off a Persie Bray assist. "It was good to get a win in these terrible [weather] conditions," said Kasey Craft, "even with all the fog and rain we were still able to come out and get the result. It felt really good to score some goals as well." The victory now brings the Lady Scots to a well-rounded 2-2-2 on the season, but they will be looking to improve upon this record when they travel to face rival Bryan College this Wednesday in Dayton, TN.
