Sewanee, TN- The Lady Scots soccer team traveled to Sewanee for their second game of the season with high hopes after defeating Maryville 2-1 in their previous match. Tuesday's contest, however, didn't prove as kind to the Scots, as they were unable to surmount Sewanee's two goal halftime lead en-route to their first loss of the season. Goals from Sewanee's Virginia Zakas and Kabler Colhoun were enough to outdo the efforts of Covenant goalkeeper Bethany Holman, who finished the game with 5 saves, and forward Anna Lueck, who led the Lady Scots with two shots on target. With the loss, the Lady Scots fall to 1-1 on the season and will next travel to face Milligan College on September 12th.
