Covenant Scots baseball shocked NCAA D-1 Tennessee Tech last night 7- 4 in the first game of a double header. Freshman Tyler Smith pitched 6 strong innings spreading around 8 hits over the 6 periods while allowing just 3 runs.

Meanwhile, the Scots' offense had 13 hits and scored 7 runs in the same 6 inning stretch. Jared Carlson led the Scots going 3 for 4 from the plate with 3 RBI's and 1 homerun. John Frederick also went 3 for 4 and added 1 RBI on the night. Covenant earned a split on the night losing the second game of the double header 8-0.




The Scots are back in action Friday, April 17th at Engel Stadium at 6:00 PM against conference foe Tennessee Wesleyan.
