Game Recap: Softball |

The Lady Scots softball Sweep University of the South 7-0 and 11-1

The Lady Scots took two from Sewanee in a 7-0 and 11- 1 victories. In the first game Christian Core went two for three with three runs scored. Kristen Walker went one for two with one run and one RBI. Lindsey Potter went two for two with a triple and one RBI. The Lady Scots played perfect defence with no errors and the pitching staff of LeeAnn Moody, Rebekah Marbury, and Chelsea Krafft combined for a no hitter and eleven strikeouts.

In the second game Beth Harris hit her very first homerun as a Lady Scot and the first home run ever hit the new field. She went two for three for the game and had one RBI. Kimberlee Peebles went two for two with one run scored and Kim Cuticchia went two for three with one run and two RBI's. In game two Chelsea Krafft and Beth Harris combined to throw a three hitter.  "The team played solid softball, hitting well and doing the little things right," stated Coach Russell.  The Lady Scots record is now 5-2.

Next on the schedule the JV team takes on Cleveland State Community College at home on Thursday, March 12 and then the Varsity travels to Cleveland, TN to face the eleventh ranked Lee University Flames at 4:00pm on Friday, March 13.
