Johnson City, TN - Senior guard Liz Martin scored 29 points and freshman guard Ashley Wilson added 14, but the Covenant College women's basketball team lost to Milligan College 69-59 on Wednesday night in an Appalachian Athletic Conference game.

Milligan (16-9, 10-3) retains sole possession of first place in the AAC, behind 17 points and 18 rebounds from Heather Mandela and 18 points and 10 rebounds from Alisha Mainer.

The Lady Scots (12-12, 6-7) who travel to Bristol, Virginia to take on Virginia Intermont College on Saturday night at 5:30, also got nine points and eight rebounds from senior forward Natalea Gulyas.
