Waleska, GA- The Scots were unable to overcome a spotty first half performance in their loss to the Reinhardt College Eagles on Thursday, failing to come back from an 18-point first half deficit en-route to an 82-62 loss. Shooting just 23% from inside the arch, and 33% from three point range early on, the Scots were hard-pressed to overcome a Reinhardt team that shot 47 and 61% respectively. Even though they improved on these percentages in the second half, and out-rebounded Reinhardt over the course of the game, Covenant was unable to establish any dominance, and fell to a 2-7 record on the season. Guard Damien Chaney led the team with nine points and eight rebounds, while CJ Robinson and Zarome Lakey each contributed with a team high three assists each. The Scots will now host Piedmont College in their next match at home this Saturday.
