Lookout Mountain, GA - The host Scots shot 31% from the field and scored just eighteen points in the first half of a loss to Bryan College Saturday night. They shot 51% and scored 34 points in the second half and even cut the Lions' lead to as little as ten with a late-game comeback attempt, but it wasn't enough as Covenant fell 52-66.
Senior Chris Hall, who exited the game early with a leg injury, came back to lead the Scots with fifteen points and eight rebounds. He committed seven turnovers, however, and received a technical foul in the first half. Freshman Stephen Buchanan shot just 3-12 on the night but scored eleven points, grabbed six rebounds and dished out four assists.
Christopher Cody led Bryan with sixteen points on 7-14 shooting and seven rebounds.
The Scots are now 1-22 on the season and winless at home. They will be on the road for their next two games against Milligan College (Feb. 4, 7:30 PM) and Virginia Intermont College (Feb. 7, 7:30 PM) before returning home to take on Montreat College.
