Bluefield, VA - The Covenant College women's basketball team made only nine of their 52 shots, including only one of 20 of their 3-point shots, and turned the ball over 29 times in losing to Bluefield College 73-36 on Wednesday night in an Appalachian Athletic Conference road contest.
The Lady Scots (11-9, 5-4) were led by senior point guard Liz Martin who scored 11 points and pulled down six rebounds to lead Covenant in both categories, in her twenty-four minutes of play. Junior Erika Forland had seven points and five rebounds.
The Lady Rams (11-10, 4-5) were led by senior guard Kayla Lewis who finished with 17 points, and Jodi Smith and Kia Gilliard who added 12 and 10, respectively.
The Lady Scots will host Tennessee Wesleyan College on Saturday night at 5:30 in another AAC match-up
