Bluefield, VA - Fresh off of a conference victory at UVA-Wise, the Lady Scots weren't able to follow it up with another Saturday morning in Bluefield. Getting off to a great start, the Lady Scots were able to take the first game handily, winning by a score of 25-15. They weren't able to maintain the momentum, however, as they went on to lose each of the next three games by scores of 19-25, 23-25 and 22-25, respectively. Freshman Erica Adams led Covenant with thirteen kills, freshman Emily Stewart had twelve and sophomore Emily Dupree added eleven; and while the Lady Scots out-killed the Lady Rams 54-41, they weren't able to get the "W." Despite the loss, Covenant still holds an even .500 record at 6-6 overall, and a winning AAC record of 3-2. It's two conference matches down, eight to go for the Lady Scots on their current stretch, with a rematch versus Bluefield coming up on October 10. Their next match will be against Tennessee Wesleyan College on Tuesday, September 23 at 7 PM in Athens, TN.
