The lady scots softball team was unable to come home with wins against UVA-Wise. They lost 4-6 and 1-5 bringing their conference record to 8-6.
Despite Laura Moore's brilliant pitching lately Wise was able to get hits at crucial times to stop Moore. Laura pitched all of the first game and began the second game with LeeAnn Moody finishing off in the second game.
The lady Scots were not without highlights on the day. In game one, Kristen Walker went 2 for 4 with a single and her first home run of the season. She also added two RBIs. Kimi Peebles also went 2 for 4 with a 2-run homerun, also her first of the season. She also had a single and 2 RBIs.
In the second game, Kim Cuticchia went 3 for 4 with two singles and a double. LA Cloud had our only RBI and Lindsay Phillips went 2 for 3 with two singles.
The lady scots travel to Milligan College on Thursday of this week to play the final regular season game on the schedule. The Lady Scots 8-6 conference record places them in a tie with Tn. Wesleyan for fourth in the conference standing.
