Charleston, SC - The Scots shot thirty percent from the field and looked overmatched as they lost to the Buccaneers of Charleston Southern University Saturday night. Covenant has now lost three straight after picking up their first and only win of the season against Urbana University on November 22nd.
The only Scots in double figures, senior guard Reed Crosson and sophomore guard Davis Eldridge led the way with eleven points apiece, each knocking down three three-point shots on the night. First-year guard Stephen Buchanan chipped in with a season-high eight points to go along with three rebounds and two steals in just his second start of the season and senior Chris Hall scored nine points while grabbing a team-high six rebounds. And while the Scots struggled from the field, they did have a good night from the free-throw line, hitting thirteen of sixteen for a mark of 81 percent.
With the loss, the Scots fall to 1-11 on the year. They are off until January 2nd when they will travel to Daytona Beach, FL where they will take on Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University at 8:00 PM.
