Birmingham, AL - The Scots traveled to Oakwood University to take on the Ambassadors in their fourth non-conference game of the year. A packed Oakwood gym fell quiet as the Scots hit 10-21 from behind the arc on the night for a season high of 48% from three. Covenant also had great pressure all night forcing Oakwood into 29 turnovers highlighted by three steals by sophomore Dominique McGaughhey. It wasn't enough, however, as the Scots ultimately fell by a final score of 87-71.

The Scots' offense was led in scoring by freshman J.R. Avery, who finished with a game-high 23 points. Avery not only scored in a variety of ways, but also managed to go 8-8 from the free throw line. The Scots went back and forth for most of the game but the Ambassadors pulled away late, leading to their sixteen point victory.

Other impressive individual performances included those of senior Chris Hall, who battled all night in the post resulting in a line that included twelve points and six rebounds, and senior Reed Crosson and sophomore Davis Eldridge, who both continued their scoring ways with twelve and eleven points respectively. The Scots next game takes place on Saturday, November 15th as the Scots take on Reinhardt College at 7:30 PM.
