Haley Brown completed her second year as a volunteer assistant coaching, working with the Covenant pitching staff, in 2022.

"I am incredibly grateful to be returning to the game that taught me so much about myself in my adolescent years," said Brown at the time of her hiring. "As a pitching coach, I'm looking forward to challenging these young women in their faith while helping them command the mound with confidence."

Brown was a CoSIDA Academic All-America selection and a four-time all-conference honoree at Urbana from 2011-14. In her career at Urbana, Brown set several program career pitching records including ERA (2.20), wins (48), innings pitched (511.2), and strikeouts (543). She earned Great Midwest Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year in 2013 after posting a 2.62 ERA with an 11-9 record over 112.1 innings pitched. Brown set an Urbana single-season record with 17 wins with a 1.64 ERA and 184 strikeouts as a senior.

She became the first, and only, athlete in Urbana history to earn Female Student-Athlete and Student-Athlete of the Year honors from the institution when she did so as a senior. Brown was a two-time CoSIDA Academic All-District honoree, becoming the first female athlete in Urbana history to earn that award, before collecting Academic All-America honors as a senior.

After her playing career, Brown spent one season as an assistant coach at Urbana.

Brown graduated from Urbana with a dual degree in management and entrepreneurship in 2014 after posting a perfect 4.0 GPA.

She and her husband, Covenant head men's basketball coach Josh Brown, have two children.
