Cordaro Cummings joined the staff in July of 2025 as Assistant Director of Athletics for Compliance and Operations.
Cummings has over seven years of experience across multiple levels of athletics, including high school, travel, and collegiate programs. Most recently, he served at Grace Academy in Chattanooga as Head Baseball Coach and Assistant Football Coach, while also teaching physical education and STEAM. Under his direction, the baseball team posted its highest win total since 2015.
At the collegiate level, Cummings has contributed as an Assistant Pitching Coach at Covenant in 2025, where he played a role in recruiting, player development, and performance analysis. He also serves as Director of USA Prime Baseball in Eastern Tennessee, managing talent identification and team operations for the travel baseball organization.
In his new role, Cummings will oversee athletic department compliance with NCAA regulations, ensuring all student-athletes and teams meet eligibility requirements and academic standards. He will also be responsible for managing operations, including pregame and postgame event planning and logistics.

Cummings holds a Master of Arts in Coaching and Athletics Administration from Concordia University Irvine, a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Lane College, and an Associate of Science from Hiwassee College. As a former two-sport collegiate athlete, he competed in baseball and basketball at the NCCAA and NCAA Division II levels and has international playing experience in the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, and Panama.
He has also worked as an in-home family therapist and is active in faith-based youth outreach through the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and motivational speaking engagements.
Lastly, Cumming is a published author, having written Broken Roads to Redemption: A Journey of Heartache and Hope and Finding Jesus in the Pain of Goodbye.
Cordaro is married to his wife Mariah, and they have two children Noah and Zayleigh.Â
