Tim Mahla enters his first year as an assistant coach for the golf program and head coach Tom Schreiner in 2018-19.

A 2007 graduate of Covenant with a degree in business, Mahla was a dual-sport athlete as a Scot in golf and men's basketball. He was an All-Appalachian Athletic Conference selection in 2007 after finishing 10th overall at the conference tournament. Mahla's score helped the Scots to a runner-up finish in the event. On the basketball court, Mahla was an All-Freshmen team choice in the AAC during the 2003-04 season as he led the Scots in 3-point percentage (41.3) and free throw percentage (86.2). 

Mahla is the director of development at LAUNCH Chattanooga.
