GREENWOOD, Ind. -Â The College Sports Communicators (CSC) released their Academic All-District selections for the 2025 Softball season on Tuesday afternoon with four Covenant players making the cut.
It was a group of seniors who earned the distinction for the Scots as
Ashlyn Gaines,
Olivia Stefl,
Isabella Duran, and
Helena Nagy were honored. This award, nominated by SIDs across the country, recognizes student-athletes who have shown excellence in the classroom and on the field.
This marks the second year in a row that Gaines, Nagy, and Stefl have earned this award while Duran picked up the honor for the first time.Â
In order to be considered for selection on the Academic All-District Team, you must have shined athletically and academically. The CSC's requirements for Softball are as follows:
- Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically.
- Student-athletes must have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA.Â
- Student-athletes must compete in 90% of the school's games or have must started in at least 66%Â of the school's games.
- A pitcher must have made at least 17 appearances or pitched 35 innings. Â
Stefl and Nagy each just graduated with degrees in Elementary Education. Gaines earned a degree in Biology while Duran graduated with a degree in Psychology.
