This is part of a series on athletics.covenant.edu with feature stories written by the student-athletes about their time at Covenant. The series is in conjunction with NCAA Division III week, an annual event to celebrate the accomplishments on and off the field of the student-athletes in the NCAA's largest division.

Being a Covenant Scot is so much more than wins, losses, and championships. While we compete to win championships and play our hardest in every match, being a Scot goes far beyond that. It means we love one another deeply, we encourage, we care, we motivate. We push each other on the pitch and in the classroom. We are dedicated to each other and to creating a program that places God first. Our identity isn't in our sport, our playing time, our achievements, or our success. We are who the Lord says we are. So we play like it. We talk like it. And we live by it. Our goal is to cultivate a culture that loves one another, loves to hustle, and loves the Lord above all and through all.
Being on the women's soccer team at Covenant has been a transformative journey for me. Coming into college and having moved 1,000 miles away from home, I longed for new community and friendships. Now, four years later I am leaving Covenant and the Women's Soccer team having found a second family. My time at Covenant has pushed me to pursue excellence both on the pitch and in the classroom. It has taught me how to love others more deeply, given me lasting friendships, taught me to lead well, to compete hard, and to make Christ preeminent in all things.
Being a Covenant Scot over the past four years has been one of the greatest gifts and blessings. Covenant College and its Women's Soccer team have given me more than just an education and athletic experience – they have given me a place filled with love, faith, lasting friendships, and even a championship along the way. Over the past 4 years I couldn't have imagined myself anywhere else and I am so thankful for each and every day I have spent here. Being a member and captain on the Women's Soccer team will always be one of my greatest memories. Forever and always, go Scots!
