ATLANTA, Ga. - The Collegiate Conference of the South announced the final results of the 2023-24 Commissioner's Cup on Tuesday with Covenant finishing third in the overall standings.
This is the second year in a row that Covenant has placed third in the Commissioner's Cup, solidifying itself as one of the most successful and respected Athletic Departments in the CCS.
The Commissioner's Cup is a highly coveted award presented annually to CCS member institutions that demonstrate outstanding athletic performance and overall excellence throughout the academic year. The recipient is determined through a point system, which reflects each team's regular season finish and awards additional points for top-four championship finishes.Â
For just women's sports, the Scots placed second and on the men's side Covenant earned fourth place.Â
Covenant brought home a total of five Conference Championships across three sports during the 2023-24 academic year. Volleyball and Men's Soccer won both their Regular Season and Tournament Championships while Men's Tennis won its Conference Tournament after finishing second in the regular season.
In total, the Scots had eight different teams finish in the top-four in the CCS. Other significant achievements include, Women's Soccer and Women's Tennis advancing to their Conference Championship match.
