CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Covenant faced a tall task in the CCS Championship match, taking on defending champions, Piedmont. The Scots gave it their all, but it wasn't enough to bring the trophy back to Lookout Mountain.

DOUBLES:
- Addi Gunyon and Lauren Carr took a 2-8 defeat to Abbey Grace Venham and Bri Laidman in the No. 1 position.
- In the No. 2 slot, Angel Traylor and Macy Matson ended their doubles season with a 1-8 defeat to Alyssa McSpadden and Dakota Wilkes.
- Alexis Baker and Dani Rappuhn put up a strong fight in the No. 3 ranked match, but ultimately lost in a tiebreak to Marion Sloyan and Brookly Bolch 7-8 (4-7).
SINGLES:
- Gunyon dropped what turned out to be the clinching match to Venham 0-6, 2-6 in the No. 1 slot.
- Before her match in the No. 2 position was called, Carr was up 6-3, 1-4 against Sloyan.
- Matson lost her opening set in the No. 3 slot to Wilkes 5-7 before her match was called.
- In the No. 4 position, Baker trailed McSpadden 3-6, 0-4 before the match was called.
- Traylor was trailing 3-6, 2-5 to Laidman in the No. 5 slot at the time the clinching point was secured for Piedmont.
- In the No. 6 ranked match, Rappuhn fell 1-6, 0-6 to Jordan Ballard.
At the conclusion of the match, Gunyon and Carr were named to the CCS All-Tournament team.
