SEWANEE, Tenn. -- Facing the nationally-ranked and No. 2 region team in Sewanee, the Covenant women's tennis team fell 9-0 in non-conference action on Tuesday afternoon at the Bruton-Guerry Tennis Courts.
Covenant (12-5), ranked No. 19 in the region, sees its four-match win streak halted with the loss. Sewanee, which is ranked No. 10 in the nation and No. 2 in the region, goes to 14-5 overall.
The host Tigers took all three doubles matches to take a 3-0 lead heading into singles. Covenant would not be able to rally as Sewanee limited the Lady Scots' chances in each match.
