LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN -- Playing their first home match on Lookout Mountain this year, the Covenant men's tennis team lost to non-conference foe Millsaps by a 9-0 score on Friday afternoon.
Covenant drops to 2-6 overall and Millsaps goes to 4-3.
Chris Cox, playing at No. 1 singles for the first time this year, was the closest to getting a victory as he dropped a 6-4, 7-6 (1) decision to Diego Marti-Vertiz. At No. 5 singles, Travis Hutchinson went three sets with Josh Shearin before falling 5-7, 7-5, 10-4.
In doubles play, Cox and Nathan Hernandez fell 8-6 at the No. 3 position, while Dan Madden and Hutchinson fell 8-5.
