BRANDON, Miss. -- The Covenant men's golf team wrapped up the fall season with a third place finish at the Pinnacle Trust Invitational on Tuesday at Castlewoods Country Club.
The Scots had a tournament score of 660 (329-331) after a final round 331 for a third place finish overall. Covenant entered Tuesday's final round in fourth place, but jumped host Belhaven for the third spot.
Millsaps came away with the team title after posting a 625 (312-313) in the tournament. Ryan Martin of Millsaps earned medalist honors with his 3-over, 147 (72-75) for the event.
Nathan Hawkins was the top Covenant finisher as he placed in a tie for sixth overall with a two-day score of 160 (78-82) following an 82 in the final round. Ian Johnson had the low round for the Scots on Tuesday with a 79 and placed in a tie for 10th with a 164 (85-79). Will Reid carded a second straight 84 to finish at 168 (84-84), while Alan Craig had a 169 (83-86) in the event.
