LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN -- The Covenant men's tennis team fell to USA South foe Huntingdon 9-0 on Wednesday evening on Lookout Mountain.
The loss drops Covenant to 1-13 on the season and 0-6 in league play. Huntingdon remains perfect in the USA South with a 6-0 record and 9-2 overall.
In doubles play, Michael O'Brien and Connor Shimmel fell 8-3 at the No. 1 position to Bobby Foroughian and Zac Baldwin. Frank Portlock and Roy Anderson were also defeated 8-3 at No. 2 doubles by Sebastian Florez and Tyler Creamer.
O'Brien was also defeated 6-3, 6-1 by Foroughian in singles play at the No. 1 spot. Portlock fell 6-0, 6-4 to Florez at No. 2, while Jonah Anderson was bested 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3. Nathan Hernandez was knocked off at No. 6 singles 6-1, 6-4 by Trey Pirtle.
Covenant will host non-conference foe Point on Thursday beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the on-campus complex.
