HILTON HEAD, S.C. -- The Covenant men's golf team finished in second place at the Wittenberg Invitational at Hilton Head, S.C., on Thursday. Wittenburg placed first with a 309, while Covenant had a team score of 318, two strokes better than NCAA Division I member Savannah State.

Freshman Levi Nix paced the Scots with a 76 which placed him in a tie for third individually. Trey Patterson continued his solid play this season with a 78 to help Covenant gain second place overall.

The men will be back in competition on April 8-9 when they host the Reeder Cup at the Lookout Mountain Golf Club.
