TOCCOA, Ga. -- Trey Patterson shot a two-under 70 in round two to lead Covenant to a sixth place finish overall at the Emmanuel Invitational at the Currahee Club in Toccoa on Tuesday morning.

As a team, Covenant shot a 320 for the day and a two-day total of 630. Erskine College came away with the top spot with host Emmanuel coming in second and Southern Wesleyan third.

Patterson's final round of 70 gave him a two-round score of 146 which placed him third overall individually. Levi Nix posted a 79 in the final round to give him a tournament score of 148 placing him in fourth. Both Patterson and Nix earned all-tournament honors.

Also in the final round, Cameron Lewis shot an 85 with James Van Nice rounding out the top four Covenant golfers with an 86.

Covenant's next event is October 8-9 at the Chick-Fil-A Invitational in Rome, Ga.
