ROME, Ga. -- The Covenant men's golf team finished in 18th place at the Rome News-Tribune Invitational on Tuesday afternoon. Trey Patterson and Cameron Lewis each had a final round score of 80.
Patterson tied for 48th place individually with his two-day total of 157. Lewis finished not far behind Patterson with a total score of 163 in the two days. Alex Mosteller posted a final round score of 82, while Nick Blauw (89) and Scott McKnight (93) finished fourth and fifth for the Scots, respectively.
The University of the Cumberlands took home first place as their overall score of 586 just beat out Central Alabama Community College's 589. Berry College, Oklahoma Baptist University, and Shorter University rounded out the top five finishers. Hudson Keener of LaGrange College was the top individual golfer with a two-day total of 139, including a second round 73.
Covenant will return to action on Thursday when they travel to Hilton Head, S.C., for the Wittenburg University Invitational.
