BRISTOL, Tenn. -- Juniors Casey Cochran and John Hirte were the only two to bring home a victory Saturday afternoon as the Scots and Lady Scots tennis teams fell to the Tornado of King College.  Both defeats came by a score of 8-1, and each of Covenant's teams remains stuck at two wins on the season as a result.  Cochran and Hirte took their respective points with commanding victories at the two singles position where they both won in two sets.

King swept all six doubles matches on the day, surrendering only 28 games in the process.

In singles, the Covenant ladies battled to three sets in the three and four spots but ultimately fell in both.  Lauren Redberg, after winning the first 6-4, dropped the last two 6-2, 6-3.  Stephanie Sizemore did much the same; after taking her first set 6-3, the Lookout Mountain native fell 6-0, 10-2, the third set being shortened with the match already decided.

The men, with the obvious exception of Hirte, were all beaten in straight sets.

Covenant will be back on the court Tuesday, April 5 for a set of matches at Huntingdon College.  Doubles play will begin at 2:00PM EST with singles to ensue soon after.  The Scots and Lady Scots will return home the following Friday to play Bethel University in the last home match of the 2011 season.
