ATLANTA -- The Covenant men's golf team shot a dismal 342 in the second and final round of the 2011 Emory Spring Invitational to fall to 15th place in the field of 17 teams.  The Scots were surpassed by the Piedmont College Lions, who shot 19 strokes better on day two and surged into the lead with lower scores at the bottom of the line-up.

Jon Spencer finished his scoring with a 77 to lead the Scots with a total of 159 (82-77).  Alex Mosteller, despite opening play with a low 75, returned on day two with an 87 to drop to second among the Scots at 162.  Cameron Lewis followed his opening round 78 with an 85 to finish at 163.

Covenant will be in action one final time during their 2010-2011 campaign.  The Scots will travel to Clarkesville, Georgia on April 25-26 for the Great South Conference meet.  The tournament will be played at the Orchard Golf and Country Club.
