ROME, Ga. -- Alex Mosteller carded a 75 (36-39) to lead the Covenant golf team in the first round of the Chik-Fil-A Invitational hosted by Berry College, but the Scots currently hold 18th place as a team in the field of 19 schools.  Mosteller's 75 is part of a team total of 319 which has the Scots well within striking distance of numerous other schools, including the 13th placed Piedmont College Lions (313) and the 14th placed Berry College Vikings (314).

Trey Patterson (41-39, 80), Zachary Buerkle (42-40, 82), Scott McKnight (42-40, 82), and Cameron Lewis (39-44, 83) rounded out the scoring for the Scots through day one.

 On the women's side, Jordan Stern opened up play shooting an 87 (42-45) and is currently tied for 29th place individually.

 The second and final rounds continue Tuesday at the Coosa Country Club (men) and Stonebridge Golf Club (women).
