Scots Beat Bryan College By Nine Strokes at Bear Trace

HARRISON, Tenn. -- Covenant's golf team squared off against Bryan College Saturday afternoon in an 18-hole, 2-team event at Bear Trace Golf Course and came away on top, defeating the Lions by a nine stroke margin, 320-329. The Scots were led by senior David Spencer who carded a 75, and freshman Cameron Lewis shot a 79 in his first competitive college round, good enough for second place among Scots and fourth place overall. Other Scot scorers were Alex Mosteller at 82, Jon Spencer at 84, and Dave Wilkinson at 85. The Lions were led by Adam Forgey with a 77.

The Scots' upcoming schedule includes a tournament at Berry College October 4-5, followed by a potential trip to Panama City, Florida for the NCCAA national tournament October 11-12.
