CLARKSVILLE, GA -- Freshman Alex Mosteller shot a first round 69 in his first career collegiate round of golf and looks poised to finish on top in this year's Piedmont College Fall Invitational held in Clarksville, Georgia.  Mosteller is tied for second place and is just a single stroke off Trey Bridwell of Maryville College, the current leader.

As a team, the Scots averaged a 78.2 through round one, just 6 stroked over par.  Their 309 team total puts them in 4th place in a field of 9 teams.  Maryville sits atop the leaderboard at 293 but well within striking distance are Milligan (304) and North Georgia (305) Colleges.

The second and final round of play begins Tuesday morning.
