1999 Men's and Women's Cross Country

The 1999 men's and women's cross country teams, under longtime head coach David Taylor, put together remarkable seasons to close the decade.

With only three seniors, the two teams both claimed Tennessee-Virginia Athletic Conference (TVAC) titles, the last time Covenant has captured conference titles on both the men's and women's sides. Women's runner Kristyn Borger qualified for the NAIA national championships, the second of three straight trips she made to the national meet, and finished 109th overall.

The season also wrapped up a decade of dominance for the teams inside the TVAC. The conference title on the women's side was their sixth in the 1990s, while the men won five TVAC crowns.
