FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -- Covenant volleyball sophomore Ginny Moore has been named USA South Player of the Week, announced the conference on Monday afternoon.

Moore is one of two Covenant student-athletes to gain accolades from the USA South this week as cross country's Micah Sneller was the Rookie Runner of the Week. This is the first player of the week honor for Moore who earned two rookie of the week honors last year.

The sophomore outside hitter from Fort Myers, Fla., averaged 4.50 kills, with a .268 hitting percentage and 3.10 digs per set as the Lady Scots posted a 2-1 record last week against USA South competition. In a 3-2 loss at Maryville, Moore tallied a double-double of 23 kills and 14 digs with two service aces, one assist and one block. In a 3-0 victory over Huntingdon, Moore notched a double-double of 14 kills and 11 digs with two assists, one service ace and one block. Finally, in a 3-0 win over LaGrange, Moore, in two sets played, totaled eight kills, six digs and three service aces.

Moore had registered six double-doubles on the year and leads the team with 133 kills and kills per set at 3.69. She is second on the team with 3.83 digs per set.
