CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. -- The Covenant volleyball team was eliminated from NCCAA Mid-East Region tournament play on Saturday morning with a 3-2 loss to Union (Tenn.). Covenant still has an outside chance at receiving an at-large berth to the NCCAA National Tournament.
Covenant fell behind 2-0, but rallied with wins in the third and fourth sets. The Lady Scots led 9-6 in the fifth set, but Union rallied to take a 12-6 lead. Covenant got within 14-13 with the serve, but Union scored the final point to claim the win.
The Lady Scots defeated Tennessee Temple in three sets on Friday afternoon before losing in three sets to top-seeded Campbellsville on Friday night.
Covenant currently sits at 25-8 on the season.
