LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN -- The Covenant women's tennis team is the No. 3 seed from the West in this week's USA South Tournament and the Lady Scots will face No. 2 East seed North Carolina Wesleyan on Friday at 10 a.m. in LaGrange, Ga.

Friday's match will take place at the varsity courts on the campus of LaGrange College.

Covenant (9-8, 4-2 USA South) will wrap up regular season play on Wednesday against Maryville at 6 p.m. The Lady Scots will then turn their attention to N.C. Wesleyan on Friday. It will be the third straight year that Covenant and N.C. Wesleyan have met in the conference tournament. Covenant edged the Battling Bishops, 5-4, in last year's semifinal round.

The winner of the match will move on to the semifinal round and face either No. 1 West seed Piedmont or No. 4 East seed Averett on Saturday at 10 a.m. (site to be determined).

The top of the lineup has been strong all year for Covenant. Aly Hall and Annie DeLuca have anchored the top two spots for much of the year and each has tallied 13 wins in singles play. Esther Eddy has been the mainstay at the No. 3 spot and is 10-7 for the season. In doubles, Eddy and DeLuca have played at the top flight for most of the year and are 11-5 together. Hall and Jennie Spielman are 10-4 as a tandem at the No. 2 doubles position.

Covenant is 4-1 all-time against N.C. Wesleyan, including a 2-0 mark in the USA South Tournament. N.C. Wesleyan's only win over the Lady Scots came in 2015.
