LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN -- For the first time in program history, the Covenant women's tennis team has earned a regional ranking as the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) ranked the Lady Scots at No. 19 in this week's Atlantic South top 20.

Covenant is off to one of its best starts ever with a 10-4 overall record and a 7-1 mark in USA South matches. Covenant and Methodist (No. 10) are the only two USA South teams ranked this week in the poll.

The Lady Scots have won six of their last seven matches, which included wins over a regionally-ranked Berry team on March 16 and USA South foe Meredith on March 26. The only loss over the last seven matches was to No. 18 region ranked Centre on March 19.

Covenant has been led by the play of sophomore Aly Hall, who sports a 9-2 record in singles play, along with junior Gracie Smith (7-3) and sophomore Annie DeLuca (6-6). Claire Luger and Smith are 10-4 as a duo in doubles play, including a 7-1 record against USA South competition.
