Despite Close Matches, Women's Tennis Falls to Millsaps

LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN -- Despite three singles matches going into three sets, the Covenant women's tennis team fell to Millsaps 8-1 in non-conference play on Friday afternoon.

Covenant falls to 4-3 overall, while Millsaps improves to 5-2.

Aly Hall was the lone winner for the Lady Scots on Friday as she took a 6-3, 6-7 (4), 10-5 win over Ashley Ford at the No. 1 spot. Covenant was close in two other singles matches, but Gracie Smith and Claire Luger both fell in three sets. 

Millsaps took all three doubles matches, but Covenant's Lindsay Geving and Jennie Spielman nearly took a point at No. 3 before falling 8-5.

Covenant travels to Mary Baldwin on Friday, March 11. Matches start at 3:30 p.m.
