FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -- Covenant women's tennis sophomore Aly Hall has been named USA South Player of the Week for the period ending Feb. 21, announced the conference on Monday afternoon.

This was the first week of conference weekly accolades for the spring tennis season, so all stats from the spring were used to determine the honoree.

Hall, a sophomore from Orlando, Fla., went 2-0 in singles play last week and 1-1 in doubles to lead Covenant to a 1-1 week against USA South competition. The sophomore helped the Lady Scots to a 6-3 win at North Carolina Wesleyan with a 6-3, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles over Stephany Barbera after recording an 8-3 win in doubles with partner Annie DeLuca. Hall toppled Methodist's Isabelle Graf 6-0, 6-2 in Saturday's 7-2 loss to the Monarchs.

On the year, Hall is 3-1 in singles play at the No. 1 position and is 1-2 in doubles with DeLuca.
